Key Persons

Dr. Michael Persson , Innovation Manager, was appointed adjunct Professor in silica chemistry at the Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg 2012, where he worked within the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. He has been the industrial supervisor of the thesis research of more than 20 Ms students and 5 PhD students. Dr. Michael Persson is inventor and co-inventor of 18 patent applications and has received twice Patent of the Year Award (an internal company award, 30 kSEK, for patented technologies with substantial commercial value) and 2012 the AkzoNobel Innovation Award. Main focus areas have been ceramics, paper and silica.Among his national and international assignments of importance, he is Member of the NANoREG Industry Consultation Committee (NICC): NanoReg – A common European approach to the regulatory testing of nanomaterials, EU Framework 7 Program, contract no 310584.
